The Future is Space

Football is simple. All you will need to do to succeed in this sport is to FIND SPACE and EXPLOIT IT. Find space and exploit it. So easy. In essence, football does not begin with the ball, it begins with a thought. When you come to know this, you will change everything about the way you approach the game. Of course, to exploit space you will need to pass, receive, dribble, shoot and head the ball. Many will tell you that these are the “FUNDAMENTALS.”

Try a different view. Imagine that the most fundamental skill you will need is  PERCEPTION – the ability to see your entire environment and be able to make sense of it. And then you must execute within that environment. In this way, FINDING SPACE is your primary objective.  Find space, find space, find space. Like Xavi, like Modric, like the best of the best. They all find space and then exploit. That is the key to mastery in football: Vision.
